Enabling GeoRSS Feeds on Your Foundation Server

We previously discussed how to consume our GeoRSS feeds using Ruby and PHP. You can locate your GeoRSS feed by viewing a “Readings” report for a particular device. The GeoRSS link displays above the map and can be seen in the image below:

You can copy the GeoRSS link for use within your application. By default, all GeoRSS feeds are secure and require authentication. You can make your GeoRSS feed public (turn off authentication) by accessing the admin interface and editing properties for the selected device:

Simply click the checkbox and save the device. Now all GeoRSS requests for this particular device will not require authentication.
