I had a question about the way the idle reporting work…..

It seems that whatever your engine on “normal” threshold is set to, after 3 minutes, it switches to idle if there is no speed attributed to the reading.
That makes sense if my understanding is correct.

If your threshold is 1 minute, this is very easy to understand because basically at the 3rd reading, it would switch to idle.

However, if your “normal” threshold was 3 minutes how would this work?...

For instance at 8:00 you get a “normal” reading, at 8:03 it would be “idle”.....  then say the vehicle moved at 8:04…. would it generate a “normal” reading at 8:04 or would it wait until 8:06 because the idle was not really a separate event type?
